OpenData is more than a dataset, it's a movement to make foundational data open, accessible, and collaborative. We are creating the world's largest open entity graph by bringing together organizations, developers, researchers, and data professionals who believe that critical infrastructure data should be a shared resource, not a proprietary asset.
Our Mission
We provide an open, durable, and interoperable entity foundation that connects global data systems across the economy. By open-sourcing this connectivity layer, we ensure it remains independent, sustainable, and accessible to everyone, from startups to enterprises.
What We're Building
An entity dataset that includes comprehensive, structured information about:
- Organizations (companies, non-profits, universities)
- Legal Entities (jurisdictional registrations and corporate structures)
- Locations (physical places of business and activity)
- Addresses (normalized, standardized location data)
- People (represented in ethically and legally appropriate forms)
All entities are linked through stable, permanent identifiers and connected to external reference systems—enabling reliable joins, entity resolution, and data integration across the entire ecosystem.
Why This Matters Now
